Applied AGI (AAGI) enhances the capability of Earth Observation platforms through the integration of automated on-orbit data analysis and intelligent data selection for transmission. By enabling low-latency data products from sensing to delivery, AAGI technology improves the exploitation and utility of existing Earth Observation data sources using mission-relevant flight hardware. Future applications include on-orbit visual identification and characterisation of satellites and space debris, supporting space domain awareness (SDA), collision avoidance, and space asset protection for UK and allied missions.
AAGI technologies have applications in broadcast, online media and media monitoring, enabling the identification, cueing, and retrieval of relevant content from live feeds and archived datasets. For large-scale or multi-camera operations, AAGI systems enable intelligent down-selection of content, supporting real-time editorial or analytical decision-making. Our machine learning tools enhance search and indexing within audio-visual content, allowing natural language AI queries to locate specific sequences or clips – even during live broadcasts.

AAGI’s Machine Learning Tech Suite delivers significant performance improvements over existing surveillance systems, reducing operator cognitive load and improving detection confidence. Our AI technologies enhance perimeter and area monitoring, particularly under challenging environmental or visual conditions, such as poor lighting, adverse weather, or degraded image quality. Our tools deliver superior facial recognition and object detection, and extend beyond imagery to include RF, wired and wireless signal monitoring, audio, and data communications – providing a unified, multi-sensor situational picture.
Border and critical national infrastructure infrastructure protection present persistent operational challenges globally. Traditional CCTV-based systems are limited by high false alarm rates and operator fatigue. The AAGI ML Tech Suite delivers reliable, automated surveillance and alerting, improving operational effectiveness and response time. Behavioural analysis modules detect and classify indicators of threat or intent, including loitering, tampering, unusual postures or movements, and aggressive behaviour – enabling proactive intervention and enhanced situational understanding for both defence and civil security operations.
